Standard

Disneyland is a popular place that attracts a big crowd. The park is vast in itself and it is possible that may lose your child in all the hustle and bustle. To make sure that all members of your family stay together and avoid losing your children in Disneyland, here are some tips that you can follow –

  • Dress your children in brightly colored clothes that are easy to spot in crowds.
  • All your family members can wear the same hats or unique Mickey ears. This way, you or your child can recognize each other just in case you lose them.
  • When you arrive at Disneyland, introduce your kids about the Disneyland Cast Member. Show them the badge that they are wearing and explain to them that anyone with such a badge will be able to help you in case they get lost.
  • Set up a meeting place before you go exploring the park. Be precise about where you want to meet. Most landmarks like the castle cover a large area and have different facets. So, your child could end up confused. Physically walk to the appointed place and show your child exactly where you are supposed to meet in case they get lost.
  • Make sure that your child has your business card or your cell phone number at all times. You can also attach clothing labels on their clothes with names and contact information. Doing so makes it so much easier to locate your children if they go astray.
  • Disneyland is noisy and can be very loud. Sometimes, you may not hear your phone ringing. You can program your phone to vibrate when you get a call and put it somewhere you can feel it, like your front pocket. Also, some areas in Disneyland could have a bad cell phone reception. If you need to make a call without interruptions, head over to Tomorrowland because it has the best cell phone reception.

In Case You Lose Your Child

In case you do lose your child, here is the protocol that the Disneyland Cast Members follow-

  • When a Disneyland Cast Member encounters a lost child under 11 years of age, they are taken to the Baby Center (Disneyland California Adventure) in the Pacific Wharf or the Baby Center (Disneyland) at the Central Hub at the end of Main Street.
  • If your child is 12 years or older, they can wait for you at Disneyland’s City Hall. Or, they can also leave you a message for you there.

If you have taught your child to ask for help to a Disney Cast Member, they can be found very easily. Inquire about your lost child in the City Hall (Disneyland) or at the Chamber of Commerce (Disney California Adventure). They should be the first place to check when you lose your child because they have all the information regarding lost children.
