Since you are ready to pay the traveling fare, you have all the rights to exclusively use the hired vehicle.

We, as a passenger, should know all our rights in order to ensure a good ride. Some of them are:

Qualified Driver With A License

Most of the taxi companies only hire licensed taxi drivers. Still, to be on the safer side, it is OK to ask if they hold a current driver license and all the papers needed while driving. He is responsible for the safety of everyone inside the vehicle, including him, so don’t compromise with your safety.

A Taxi Worth Traveling
It is very important to have a ride that is worth paying for. The vehicle must be clean, tidy and worth traveling.
You can deny traveling if you feel it is not worth at all.

Route Of Your Choice
No matter how long or short it is, you always have the right to choose your route to reach your destination. In case you don’t know the route, your driver should suggest and take the most convenient, direct and short route to reach your destination.

Right To See The Taxi Meter
The moment you enter the vehicle, always make sure that the fare meter is set to normal. Also ask for a printed receipt and check if it matches the rate shown in the meter. You can deny the trip if the meter is faulty or tampered.

Decide On Air Conditioning
The air conditioner installed in the vehicle should be in well maintained condition and well functioning.
You can request the driver to turn it ON or OFF. However, you shouldn’t make any request that may impair his ability to drive safely.

Right To Decide On Music
Listening to music while traveling can be awesome at times. However, it is not the same for all. If you don’t like it, ask driver to turn OFF the music player or the radio.

No Multiple Hiring
If you do not wish to share your ride with another passenger, traveling to the same direction, specify it to the driver. You can decide on multiple hiring. Multiple hiring allows certain amount of discount to all the passengers traveling in one direction. If you wish to avail this discount then specify your driver.

Assistance Animals
The driver must allow physically challenged individuals to bring in their assistance pets while traveling. However, the driver can refuse to carry animals, if they consider it to be dangerous for them.
Mode Of Payment
You can always choose the payment mode for the ride, either in cash or using major some major debit or credit cards as displayed in the vehicle.

Request A Receipt
You can request a driver to issue you with a receipt, which can be used for different reasons as complaints, to recover your lost items or to hire the taxi again in the future.
The bill should contain all the important information like driver accreditation number, all items which make up the total fare, total amount paid, taxi number and payment date with driver’s signature on it.

Driver’s Duties And Responsibilities blog/drivers-duties-and-responsibilities/ blog/drivers-duties-and-responsibilities/#comments Thu, 02 Jan 2014 04:58:06 +0000 blog/?p=70 Though the primary job of a driver is to take passengers to/from a specific destination, they are also responsible for the safety and security of the passengers. Whether it is private or a semi government transportation company, every driver is expected to strictly follow the rules and regulations as stated by the state law. So, what are the drivers’ duties and responsibilities?

•    They must be licensed and should have a photo ID card either inside the vehicle or at some place visible to the passenger. They should have all the documents needed for driving.

•    Until and unless it is defined by the state law, no driver has a right to charge an extra amount to the passenger for luggage.

•    They should always use the route of passenger’s choice. They may suggest a convenient route if the passenger is new and unknown to the place. In case, the driver himself is new to the place, he should be able to use the GPS system.

•    They should have an adequate knowledge on all the traffic rules and should abide by the driving regulations as defined by the state laws.

•    No driver is allowed to drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

•    It is their responsibility to check and confirm the operation of the headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior lighting, air conditioning, tire inflation,  windshield wipers and fuels prior to driving the vehicle.

•    The vehicles should be cleaned and well maintained before/after each trip.

•    Driver should report any faults in the vehicle to the management of the transportation Company. They should not operate the vehicle if it’s risky.

•    Every driver should reset the taxi meter at the beginning and at the end of the journey. It is their duty to show the taxi meter if requested by the passenger.

•    Until and unless the passenger wishes to tip the driver, the fare should be calculated as per the meter. No driver can force for a tip.

•    They should provide receipt of the service to every passenger. The receipt should contain driver’s and vehicle’s unique identification number. The passenger can use this to file a complaint, to report a lost luggage or to book for their services in the future.

•    They should be able to handle any kind of emergency.

Drivers are not the only that have duties and responsibilities. Even passengers have some duties and responsibilities of their own.

Celebrating Christmas And New Year In Disneyland blog/celebrating-christmas-new-year-in-disneyland/ blog/celebrating-christmas-new-year-in-disneyland/#comments Tue, 31 Dec 2013 10:04:16 +0000 blog/?p=59 Be it spring or fall, Disneyland is for all!

Yes, this is the ‘Happiest place on Earth’ where fun and entertainment is in abundance. Though the park is open all year round, the best time to visit it is during festivals. Everything, from lights to decorations, is upgraded to match the occasion.

One such event, when Disneyland is at its best, is during Christmas and New Year. Definitely the busiest days in Disneyland.

Christmas trees adorned by wonderful lights, decorations on Main Street and other areas, special events, holiday parade, live performances and many other exciting surprises make the place look like a fairy land.

Disneyland hosts some amazing events at this time of the year. Some of the major events are:
•    Disney ¡Viva Navidad
•    Candlelight Processional
•    Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle
•    Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade
•    Celebrate the Magic
•    Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season
•    Celebrate the Season Show
•    Totally Tomorrowland Christmas

As soon as it starts to get dark, the sky gets filled with colorful fireworks. Disneyland showcases some amazing fireworks that are popular all over the world.

Disneyland, during festive season, can be a bit expensive than other normal days, but the extra fun and enjoyment they offer is worth every penny.

Since this is the busiest time of the year, visiting Disneyland might need pre-planning. Especially those who are flying for across states and countries, advance booking for hotel and travelling should be a priority. Plus, it is wise to reach there as early as possible because the park only allows a limited number of visitors

Disneyland, The Dreamland Of Many blog/disneyland-the-dreamland-of-many/ blog/disneyland-the-dreamland-of-many/#comments Fri, 13 Dec 2013 11:08:35 +0000 blog/?p=32

Disneyland – One of the most visited places in California for holidays, fun trip, family get-away, and across countries tourist destination. A small dream that Walt E. Disney saw, along with the support of his team and frequent upgrades made this place the way it is now.

Before creating this theme park, Walt E. Disney, along with his daughters Diane and Sharon, visited many fun parks, including Griffith Park in Los Angles. He noticed one thing common in all of them – the children were enjoying while the parents had nothing interesting to do. He imagined of a place where both children and parents could have fun together.

He then developed a plan, bought 160 acres of land near Anaheim in 1953 and finally after all the problems with fund raising, he started the construction of this theme park in 1954. The best thing about this place was that, there was a live impression of the Disney characters!

Since the opening day in 1955, many people from all around the world have visited this place and they still are. However, there are many facts and figures which are interesting, but still unknown to most of us. Here are some of them-

1. Disneyland’s address is 1313 Harbor Blvd. This address was specially selected by Walt Disney. The number 13 stands for thirteenth alphabet i.e. M and one more 13 for another M, resulting in M.M [Mickey Mouse]. 1313 was also Donald Duck’s address and 313 was Donald’s license plate number.

2.  Opening day for press (17th July 1955) was considered as Black Day for Disneyland. The temperature was unusually high, the water fountains didn’t work and the toilets clogged (due to plumber’s strike). All the food was eaten up and ladies heel were sinking into asphalt.

3. The ground at the park is red to give all the visitors red carpet treatment. The pavement at Main Street is kept black as black asphalt heats up and keeps the guests on the move into Main Street’s shops.

4. 30 tons of garbage is disposed daily and 1850 tons of garbage is recycled per year.

5. 78 million mouse ears were sold in between the opening day and 2005. That’s enough for every child less than 18 years in America.

6. The main street flagpole was purchased at $5 when the park was built. It was originally a lamp post damaged by a car in Wilshire Blvd.

7. Disneyland’s security is mostly undercover and among the crowds, though the entire fleet totals more than that of Anaheim city’s police force.

8. The cats in Disneyland are kept alone as they keep the population of rodent in control. Walt Disney was afraid of mice!

9. The walk through sleeping castle of sleeping castle beauty closed not to be renovated but originally because of complaints from being too narrow and 9/11 terrorist attack fear.

10. One spire on the castle was purposely left unfinished because Walt always said “Disneyland will never be completed as long as long as there is imagination left in the world.”

There are many traveling options to Disneyland. However, this always packed place mostly requires pre booking of your ride.

Disneyland Express Shuttle offers you shuttle services to Disneyland from the three nearest airport – Long Beach Airport, LAX Airport and John Wayne Airport.

Services we offer:

  1. LAX Airport To Cruise Terminal
  2. Long Beach Airport To Cruise Terminal
